Auntie Nat and Sophie. Eva's always finding glasses to put on. Trying to get a picture of Eva in the wormhole.
Pretty leaves at Monticello. Can't have enough pictures with Natalie!
A couple from last year's sister tour. Note the thunder thighs on Eva. I never realized what a sumobaby she was!
And for Thanksgiving this year we went to Teresa's house in Chapel Hill, NC. That way I didn't have to cook. :) Thanksgiving and I have a very unfriendly relationship. Let's just say that Thanksgiving hates me. The first year I tried to do Thanksgiving I ended up turning the potatoes into glue and the rolls were black and smokey and my apartment almost caught on fire. Last year I made a bunch of stuff for a potluck that nobody really touched except for the pumpkin pie that had no taste whatsoever. This year I tried to make my mom's famous apple pie, which has no measurements and no recipe, and I turned it into applesauce pie. I forgot the cranberry sauce which didn't set up anyway. But I will say the stuffing was a hit. (Thank you Ina Garten). But lucky for us Teresa pulled through and we had and awesome meal. (Check out the pumpkin cheesecake with gingerbread crust... it was divine.) Eva spent the entire time trying to keep the twins away from their own toys. The little stinker. But it's much harder this time since the twins are walking now! Congrats, girls!
And for fun: Eva adores Sophie. The first thing she says in the morning is "See Sophie! See Sophie!" Then she giggles and squeals in her face. (A couple days ago Devin held Sophie's face over Eva's and Sophie puked right in Eva's eye. Eva started yelling "I stinky!!!" Holy cow it was hilarious.)
Here are a couple comparison pictures of Eva at 2 months. Sophie in the first one, Eva in the second two. What do you think? Sisters?

So cute; definitely sisters w/ you and your girls. I love that you and Devin have such great senses of humor. (Doesn't sound quite right, but you get what I'm saying.)
Wow - they look so much alike! It looks like you had a great holiday! You are a great writer with a fun sense of humor, btw. It seems I don't ever get through one of your posts w/o at least one or two laughs. You and your sister look a lot alike as well! My first thought when I saw her pic was that you had died your hair. :)
What great pictures. I'm still sticking to my opinion that Sophie looks a lot like Devin! I'm so glad Natalie was able to visit and that you were able to spend Thanksgiving with Teresa. Looks like you had a wonderful dinner. I want that pumpkin/gingerbread pie recipe.
You forgot to mention that the Thanksgiving apartment almost fire and the smoky rolls were my doing.
That's so nice that Natalie got to visit. I bet you guys had a great time :) The Palmer girls are always a treat. Sophie is so beautiful Sarah! She seems so elegant. Like her name. I'm glad you had a good Thanksgiving!
Oh yes! I love to look at all these photos and thanks for posting comparables as my memory fades into the present. Yes, I agree with Joan. I thought I saw Devin's likeness in Sophie when she was born and now for sure. She's such a cute baby.
Sisters...and more "twin" than my twins! You made our Thanksgiving and are so grateful you went to all of the effort to visit us. We loved it! Your stuffing was divine and I've got to get the recipe! Your babies are gorgeous and I can't get enough of them.
Hey! I remember that fire . . . that Ms. Joan was resonsible for. The food you cook is always great. Nothing like sisters puking on each other to cement that great sibling bond.
The puke story doesn't get any better.....Ahhhh, still laughing about that one!! I remember a time when Devin puked all over me on a long car trip, but he was like 12 at the time so no excuse. Yes, the fire and smoky rolls were my mom's fault and I don't remember gluey potatoes. You are a fabulous cook. LOVE those nieces!!! Can't wait to see them!! Lucy will be SO baby hungry!!
I love the worm pic. Too funny! What a mean auntie. Beautiful girls. Can't wait until Christmas!
How sweet of your sister to fly down and visit. And holy cow, they look identical as babies!
