Snow Day!

This winter has been crazy. It felt more like spring until last week (not that I'm complaining.) Then we got a huge snow storm followed by 70 degree weather. Here's our one day in the snow this year. As you can see form Eva's outfit it was quite warm out. But even if it wasn't she'd still be sporting her signature "magenta" pants.

Sophie wasn't quite as amused. She lasted about 5 minutes.

Much happier inside!

Well here's our big accomplishment. Mister with the Mister. He lasted about 2 hours in the hot, hot sun.

Natalie and her boyfriend Dallin were visiting us for a few days. Here we are in Cary Town exploring the fun shops. Sophie wouldn't let Dallin put her down the entire time.

Yes my hair is chopped. I'm loving the new style. Hopefully it will be more blonde once I make my way to Utah.

Spoils from the shopping- bath crayons!

Sophie's mow hawk. She makes me put a pony tail on her head (with bow!) every day then sits in her car seat pulling it out. It makes for some wild hair!

Lion King

The Lion King is here in Richmond. We have been waiting for this for a long time. The reason is that one of our good friends is in the traveling production. Mimi's daddy (the one with her arms around Eva) is a member of the cast and got us all into their full dress rehearsal. It was so fun to go with a group of little girls and watch the show with only about 20 other people. He walked us through backstage and we got to talk with other members of the cast and look at the cool costumes up-close. It was awesome. Eva loved it, even though she was scared in the laughing hyena part. We ended up leaving a little early because Eva had a "crack ache" (head ache?)

Here's some pics from a fun trip to the park. Nothing that amazing but I didn't want to come out empty handed from all that shooting!!

There's my hottie hubbie!

Sophie lives her "Mimi"!

We've had lots and lots of sick days in this winter. Can't wait for Spring to come!

Rome to Paris and Everything In Between

Happy news to announce on this freezing cold, wintry day. Devin and I are going to Europe this spring! We found great deals on flights so we're going to fly into Rome and out of Paris. We'll have nine days to cram in as much as we can between the two cities. I can't describe how excited I am for this chance to go to Italy and France with my sweetie. Last time I was in these oh-so-romantic cities I was with cousins or strangers-turned-bffs-for-the-day. So this time I can be one of those couples making out on the subway! haha. Maybe not but I'm still incredibly excited about our trip!

This week we had grandma and grandpa Palmer here to visit! (They were in New York for my sister, Katie's track meet where she rocked it in the 800m and now has the second fastest time in the country. GOKDGO!)

My dad told Eva his black jack gum story and she literally ate it up. (He let her eat an entire pack of black jack gum in the process.) When he was a little boy he went to the "chinaman's" store (I'm not racist. That's just what they used to say in the 50's!) to buy his favorite treat. Then he saved it for bed time. He ate a stick, then another, then another... then fell asleep and the gum fell out onto his pillow. He woke up with the pillow stuck to his head and my Grandma had to cut his hair off. We love this classic story. (Come to think of it, I have not idea what happened to that giant wad of black gum in Eva's mouth! Good thing we didn't relive history!)

I also got some great shots of my parents while they were here. I have one spot in my yard that I think will be the backdrop of 90% of my photos from here on out!

Filling up the hard drive

So what do I do with all these pics of my kids? Blog them of course! I love being able to catch my kids in action. So many cute faces I never had on "film" before.

Sophie is in love with her doggie and still sports the curly mullet. She says about ten words now including Eva's bff's name "Milah!!! Milah!!! Milah!!!" If you say something to her she says, "huh?!?"

My 15-yr-old in a 3-yr-old body.

Running from the boys. Wrestling match with Soph.

We've been busy. I love my job.
