Island Park and Yellowstone

Living in Idaho sure has its perks.  This year we lived close enough that we were able to go to both our cabins.  The best part about Island Park this year:  Cousins!  Lucy, Zachy and Leah were there with us for the first time.  Naturally they had a blast together.  It was also fun to have Grandpa Charlie (Grandma Charlie wasn't feeling up to the trip), Grandpa and Grandma Morris, Aunt Sara and Aunt Whitney.  Here's a view from the cabin deck.  Devin and Grandpa were getting the fire going for tin foil dinners and s'mores.

Perler Beads were a big hit this year.  Craft time bought us some reading time.  Yellowstone Park is always a fun day.  This particular day it was really rainy and stormy which made it extra exciting trying to dodge the downpours and lightening strikes.  We stopped for ice cream on our way to West Yellowstone for souvenirs and Beauty and the Beast at the Playmill.   I spent most of the play in the wings with a terrified Sophie hanging out with the actors.  It was actually pretty fun out there!  Next time we'll pick a play with fewer scary wolf scenes.
