We Love NC...

...and all our buddies there! We're so blessed right now to have two siblings that live near-by.

Chapel Hill to see Teresa and the twins.

Trip to the NC history museum with Devin's side- Sara, Lucy, Zachy and Grandma Joanie.

We brought Grandma Joanie home with us. Here we are at Peter Chang's. My new favorite restaurant. This fried eggplant has a cool tongue-numbing pepper. Fun stuff!

Fun with the Cardons in Pinehurst. The kids are finally old enough they can entertain each other.

Soph with Auntie Sara.

Zacky wrestling their doggies together.

Playing with our friends the Lees in Wilson. Lydia, Eliza, Sophie and Eva.

Your pictures are so cute. That was so nice of you to visit the Cardon's and all your other friends and family. It looks like the kids loved it.

No way! I sampled some of that tongue numbing pepper at Penzy's once and it was not only horrible tasting all by itself, but it really did make my mouth totally numb and salivate excessively. The unofficial name for that is actually "numb tongue". You weren't with me when we tried that were you? I remember we bought some awesome smoked paprika together, right? Or is my memory failing me.

It was really a unique and cool taste. It added almost a floral element to the dish. They deep fried the eggplant then "dry fried" it in all these different spices. I don't know how to explain it. You did introduce me to Penzy's. I love that place. They have one here in Richmond and it's a mandatory stop now for all my guests when they come. We love Penzy's!
